I stumbled upon the tiny town of Ovando, Montana in 2022. I was traveling from Telluride, Colorado to the Canadian Rockies in a camper van. Ovando seemed like a great place to overnight. There was a historic cowboy saloon, Trixi’s, that allowed overnight camping in their parking lot. Little did I know that the Ovando community, and a cowboy, would steal my heart and I would keep coming back.

I love photographing everything in Montana - the people, the work, the mountains, the cows, the rugged backcountry. I am so lucky I happened to pick Ovando for a burger, beers, and an overnight sleep.
